Dean's First Christmas!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Dean had a great day...Christmas Eve was spent with his cousin's Jordan and Tyler-he did pretty good. Although he decided to forgo the nap, he made it through the day and finally fell asleep around 5 for a few hours, then of course he was up until 11:30pm. Christmas day he was Dedicated to the Lord by his Top Pop and then made his way back over the Grapevine home. Luckily there was no snow on our way. The three of us had a relaxing Christmas night at home.

Thank you for all of the amazing clothes and presents! We love them. Dean had the best time with the tissue paper. He could really care less about what was inside the box, as long as there was tissue paper he was happy.

He had his 9month (can you believe it) check up a last week and was 21lbs and 30inches. He is getting so big. Dr. said he is in great health and not to worry about a thing! He is on track with his milestones-even ahead on some. He is almost ready to walk, standing on his own and taking one step then falling. It is too funny. He gets so excited when he stands. Still not teeth, but the process is horrible. Teething tablets work wonders-he gets 5-6 at night to help him (and us) sleep. We are still co-sleeping which is good and bad. Great when it is time to nurse him, horrible when he decides he wants to turn around and kicks the heck out of you!

We wish you a Happy and Safe New Year and hope that everyone's Dam Corner comes in soon!

Dean and Santa

My little Poser!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Dean and his cousin QJ over Thanksgiving...how cute is this picture!

Dean met Santa Claus today! He did awesome. He looked at Santa, saw a camera and of course threw the Brent pose.

Hope everyone had a great holiday. Dean is doing great. He is getting so big- close to the 9 month mark and looks like a toddler! He is wearing 12-18 months and chatting up a storm. He is able to stand alone and looks confused when he is not holding onto anything. I predict that he will be walking before Christmas. Still no teeth, but the drool reminds me of Goliath! It is never ending. Happy Holidays to all...

Turkey's for Palin

I never caught on with the "Hockey Mom's" but those of you who did might find this video interesting! I generally eat poultry, but this video has turned me into a vegetarian! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-kjM1asH-8
Is she even aware of what is going on behind her??

The last month

I know it's been a while since the last post. Life happens! I have been so busy with work, school, and moving that I have not had a chance to even get pictures of the digital camera onto the computer! So, here are a few. Dean is doing great. He is getting so big. We all love our new place. The carpet is working out great for crawling and falling! Not so great for spitting up, but that doesn't happen so often anymore, we have moved onto throwing food! He is eating a ton. Sunday is my cooking day. I make all of his food for the week and hope that it lasts otherwise he gets mashed bananas and cereal! I am not sure how much he weighs but I think it's close to 22lbs. His hair is getting thick and is still a champagne color and is eyes are the prettiest blue. He has taken on Brent's personality (Lord help me!) he does not sleep (like Brent), is as hyper as ever (like Brent), and will laugh at just about anything (again like Brent!). Enjoy the pics. I will try and keep on top of this a little better.

Welcome Brayden Cash

Brayden Cash Winchester was born Monday September 29 at 5:59pm.

Dean (and his mommy) are awaiting playdates with you!

Had to post a pic of Mollie in the hospital with Dean since there is one with Brayden and I.

Our Puppy!

A few weeks ago I came home from work and heard Brent calling Dean "puppy". I looked over at them and this is what I saw! Dean has a fascination with the edges of his foam mat. He loves putting them in his mouth. It is the cutest thing to see him crawling around with them hanging out of his mouth. Now our little puppy has to get his hands on everything...there is a saying in our house "I'm going to grab it......and put it in my mouth"!
After only crawling for a week and a half, Dean pulled himself up! I was freaking out. Is this suppose to happen right after crawling? He gets into everything now. He has found the cord for the computer and will find his way to it. No matter how hard we try and block him...he manages to break the barrier!
He's on the move and never camera shy!
I love this picture and had to put it in because he is such a happy little guy! He is always smiling and has such an awesome laugh...I love when he sees me for the first time when I get home from work-the smile melts my heart.

Exciting times

Dean's first trip to the beach. He didn't really care too much for the sand..or water for that matter but I am sure that will change as he gets older. Living in Southern CA I sure hope it changes.

Look out..he's on the move! I need to start getting the house in order...specifically the stairs and maybe some knee pads.

It starts out pretty......and ends up fun! This would never happen on Brent's watch. I on the other hand feel that if there is water near by he can get a messy as he wants!

Banana's & Barack!

Warning.....This is not a post for Republicans!

Dean is an Obama supporter just like his mommy! We were watching the DNC and EVERYTIME there was a picture of Barack or his voice on television Dean would stop squirming and focus on the television. He watched the entire speech without fussing or squirming. It was great. Maybe we have a future politician and accomplished actor on our hands. Only time will tell.

Barack has our vote....all 3!

Dean was introduced to Banana's this past weekend...and he loved em! He couldn't get enough-even after I wrestled it out of his hand he wanted more. I have him some today-mashed with a spoon- and it wasn't the same for him.

The last month

This last month has been a busy one. I am working and now back in school with online classes and Brent is still working at the restaurant, which leaves little time for a family life. Friday evenings are the only time that we get to spend together as a family and by then we are both so tired that we don't want to leave the sofa!
Dean has exceeded all expatiation's of a baby! He is awesome.
There is the occasional time where he just won't go to sleep, but with enough persistence mommy and daddy prevail and he is off dream about milk filled boobies! He is approaching the 24 week mark too soon and I have been told by many that this is when to start setting a routine. I have tried, but it is so much easier to just let him fall asleep in your arms (so you can nap too) than to put him in his crib. Brent and I (and Linsey) are all guilty-but we are slowly conforming to a routine.
Dean is eating solids now and has been since 20 weeks. He LOVES his food.
He is almost ready to crawl. He's rocking back and forth and moves backwards, in circles, and sideways with ease. He did tuck his legs up under him and sort of roll forward the other day.
It was quite comical.
The pics were take August 3, 2008. He was born to be in front of a camera! When he sees one it is automatic for him to stop what ever it is that he is doing and focus on the lens....
already has an attitude and pose.

A first for everything!

So Bubba really does like babies! I was so surprised when my brother took a hold of my little boy and wanted to feed him and burp him and hold him all the time! I think his biological clock is ticking..none the less...it was great to see him bond with Baby Dean!
We had our first adventure in the pool. It was fun. Dean did not cry when we first got in the water....
or after I dunked him!
He was a trooper! I think he liked it. We'll see the next time we try and give him a bath instead of a shower how it turns out.
Had to add this one just because it is cute! He had his 4 month check up and is on track with everything. He was 14.5 lbs and 25.5 inches. Dr. said that he is a strong little guy and to look out because he will be crawling soon! When he is on his belly he is able to turn himself scoot himself around in a circle. He is talking all the time now and has just learned the high pitch sounds. The first time he did it he scared himself because it was so loud. We are having so much fun watching him explore his environment and his vocal cords! Maybe he will be able to hit the high notes and become a singer if his acting career does not take off!

Dean's TV Episode

Fingers, Fingers, everywhere. They are always in his mouth.
This is what she gets paid for! Gotta love it.
Dean looks just like Brent when he is watching TV.
The new bouncer. He hasn't figured out how to work it yet, but he is getting the hang of it.

Dean is 16 weeks... It has been a busy couple of weeks. Dean is all over the place! He is rolling and scooting everywhere! When I put him down he will turn himself in a complete circle! It is so funny to watch him through this process, he gets so frustrated. His TV Debut was last Wed on Comedy Central. You can't see his face, but his arms and legs are all over the place. Here is the link and the episode is Cultural Explorer-Jews http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/mind_of_mencia/index.jhtml

Our little Star!

For those of you whom we have yet to inform...Dean filmed an Episode of Mind of Mencia...yes, we are pimping our baby out! His paperwork was in on Tuesday and his Manager called us Wednesday and he was working Thursday morning...talk about good timing. It airs on Comedy Central Wednesday June 25 at 10:30 pm, so set your DVR. Dean has learned to drool....alot! Brent does this bouncing thing with him and he just cracks up. Once I figure out how to video it Iwill post the laughs. In the mean time here are some funny faces from this week. This is a Brent face.
Getting sleepy
