Dean is here!

Look out world...Dean Tyler is here!
After going through contractions for a few (thank goodness not many) hours, Dean arrived via C-section because my blood pressure was high when we arrived at the hospital and then dropped a couple of hours later. I had early signs of preeclampsia and the doctor did not want to chance more bleeding and possibly having to take Dean while he was in distress-so they drugged me up, and out came Dean! Brent's first comment was "He's so white." He weighed 7lbs 1 oz and was 20 inches at birth.

We were in the hospital for 3 long days. Don't ever go to the hospital if you want to rest...there were people in and out of our room every hour- 24 hours of the day. It was awful. I got poked for blood every 4-6 hours to make sure that all of my levels were ok and my blood pressure was going down. I have so many bruises on my arms and am still trying to get all of the tape off. My incision is healing...rather quickly I would like to think. I was walking around 2 days after and am managing to get up and down the stairs slowly but steadily.

It's no wonder I always felt like I have a foot in my side...look at the size of those things. They are huge! The picture does not do them justice.
Thank you all for your emails and phone calls. I will be updating pretty often so check back soon!
